How we are paid
Since the year 2000, I have operated on a fee based, non commission basis, so that the client has as much choice as possible.
- I can either simply provide my product research so that clients can apply 'direct' which is usually quite tiresome for them (dealing with insurance companies!) but they make a cost saving
- I can then optionally provide tax and structural advice in order that the product is set up as effectively and efficiently as possible (which many clients don't do through lack of knowledge via the 'DIY' route)
- I can also carry out the more traditional IFA role of implementing the product and advice from start to finish
I hope you can see that the way in which I operate is slightly more 'open' than the traditional approach of financial advisers, giving the client more choice but providing a full service where necessary or required.
Most work is carried out on a project fee basis where the cost is agreed, in advance - so the client can decide if of value before proceeding.
The wealth management service is normally charged on a percentage of funds under influence.

my reasons for choosing his organisation
Following a period where I was asking Large Banks to consider handling my Investments, during which time I met an ever-changing series of polite, grey suited, but colourless "personal advisors", I decided to cast around for other sources. During the course of this period I met a couple of Directors of a small company. To a man they recommended Ian Green as the chap to talk to.
